Ranbir Kapoor’s film has done good business in the opening weekend
Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif starrer Jagga Jasoos finally released last week after being delayed for three years. Ranbir has part produced the film and Anurag Basu has directed it, fortunately for the makers the film has been doing well. On the opening day it collected Rs. 8.57 crore, Saturday Rs. 11.53 crore andon Sunday Rs. 13.7 crore. So in the opening weekend it has earned decent total of Rs. 33.17 crore. The second day saw a 30% jump, largely due to word of mouth publicity, though trade experts say the weekday collections might slump. Jagga Jasoos is made on a budget of Rs.110 crore, largely increased because of delay and re-shoots.
Onir’s Shab which starred Raveena Tandon and Ashish Bisht too released with Jagga Jasoos. It has collected Rs. 6.5 crore approximately in three days, inspite of getting mixed reviews.
Next week Tiger Shroff’s Munna Michael and Alankrita Shrivastava’s controversial film Lipstick Under My Burkha are set to release.
