Box Office: Imran-Kangana's Katti Batti riding on the support from metros on Day 1

Imran Khan and Kangana Ranaut's Katti Batti has raked in around Rs 5.28 crore on its opening day. The collections are a bit underwhelming considering the opening of Kangana Ranaut's last film Tanu Weds Manu Returns.

The film had a slow start in the morning but it picked up tremendously from the evening shows. Major collections have come in from the metros like Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore and Pune, which was very much expected.

Katti Batti has a limited appeal as the film is finding no takers outside the metros. Therefore, whatever the film earns will be mostly from city audiences. The reviews of the film are majorly negative, but it all depends on the word of mouth to see where the film heads, post the weekend.

Last week's release, Hero collected Rs 30.47 crore in is opening week and is eyeing to end the lifetime run close to Rs 37 - 38 crore.
