Box-Office: Baahubali 2 (Hindi) emerges the biggest non-holiday opener of all time

The Hindi dubbed version of Baahubali: The Conclusion was on a record breaking spree in the Hindi belt. As per early estimates, the SS Rajamouli directorial has raked in approximately Rs 37 crore on its opening day thereby emerging the biggest non-holiday opening of all time.

The film has surpassed the 4 year old standing record of Dhoom 3 that raked in Rs 32.22 crore upon its release. The epic saga starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati and Anushka Shetty surpassed the opening day collections of record openers like Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, Happy New Year and Sultan at several centres and could have emerged the highest opener of all time had it not got impacted by Telugu and Tamil version of the film down south.

The Tamil and Telugu version curtailed the chances to breach past the Rs 40 crore mark at the box-office. The movie is now looking for an Rs 100 crore plus weekend in the Hindi belt and is expected to create several records by the end of its run at the box-office.

The Hindi dubbed version of Baahubali: The Beginning raked in approximately Rs 4.75 crore on the opening day and the collections of the sequel are around 10 times higher than the first part which in itself shows the anticipation among the audiences.
