Before SOTY, Varun Dhawan was supposed to make his debut from this film of Aamir Khan but he got rejected!
Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan is a star who has not given a single flop in his career and now he counts in the list of superstars. But there was a time when Varun Dhawan had also faced a tough time in his career and he even got rejected for some films. Varun Dhawan went to give audition for a film but he failed to clear it.
Actually, Varun Dhawan reached IFFI festival, Goa with his father David Dhawan and here he told how he got rejected in the initial stage of his career. Varun told he was not selected for the film at that time his father told him 'Are you made that you make debut from this film'.
Varun Dhawan actually went for the auditions of Dhobi Ghat starring Aamir Khan but he got rejected after the audition. After that Raj Babbar's younger son Prateik Babbar got a chance to play a leading role in the film. Varun here also told that he always wanted to be a joker and do that kind of roles. His favourite comedians are Govinda and Mahmood.
However, after that Varun Dhawan joined Karan Johar as an assistant director of My Name is Khan. During the making of this film, Karan decided to launch him and Sidharth Malhotra, another AD of the film. Finally, they made debut from Student of the Year starring alongside newbie Alia Bhatt.
