Ajay Devgn will direct Sons of Sardaar after Shivaay, which is based on the battle of Saragarhi. The actor recently confirmed that there are plans to make the biggest war film in India on the lines of the Hollywood classic, 300.
Till date, only Baahubali has raised the bar for war films in India and the makers are soon coming up with the sequel which they have promised to be bigger and better than the first part. On being asked if he would be able to meet the standards set by Baahubali and Baahubali 2, Devgn said,
"Once we see Baahubali 2, I will be inspired to make Sons of Sardaar bigger than that. It is not a competition but an inspiration."
Sons of Sardaar will go on floors by end of 2017 and the makers are eyeing a late 2018 release. The film is currently being scripted and the star-cast will be announced once the script is locked.
