Anushka Sharma - Diljit Dosanjh's Phillauri to release on 31 March 2017

Anushka Sharma recently wrapped up the shooting for Phillauri, her second production venture after the successful NH10.

The Anshai Lal-directorial also stars Diljit Dosanjh and Suraj Sharma in the lead.

The film, which is set in the backdrop of a Punjabi wedding, will be distributed across the globe by Fox Star Studios. Phillauri will hit the big screen on 31 March 2017.

Anushka Sharma took to Twitter to announce the release date of Phillauri. She tweeted:

"I've got some news for you! #Phillauri will be out on 31st March'17. This one is going to be a crazy colourful ride, I promise😊@foxstarhindi".

Previously, Fox Star Studios' Vijay Singh had gushed over Phillauri. He had said:

"Phillauri is a story that has its heart in the right place. It has a lot of fun, superb music and loads of desi color. So far, the shoot has gone as we planned. Phillauri is a very special film for us. It is an entertaining film with a lot of soul that will touch everyone's heart."
