Akshay Oberoi denies turning down Fenny Khan

Akshay clarifies about why he is not part of the Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starrer

Akshay Oberoi was last seen Gurgaon has been in news recently for turning down an offer to be featured with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in Rakyesh Omprakash Mehra’s Fenny Khan,which also stars Anil Kapoor. It was reported that the actor who is cousin brother of Vivek Oberoi was not keen to be associated with the film because of Vivek and Aishwarya’s past relations. Vivek and Aishwarya were linked to each other after doing a film and allegedly parted ways on a bitter note.

Akshay chose to clarify his stand on the film Fanney Khan and says, "Who in their right mind would ever decline a Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra - Aishwarya Rai Bachchan film? It would have been my honour to work with Aishwarya and Rakeysh sir. Yes, I had auditioned for the film and even got shortlisted but unfortunately I wasn't the one who was finalized for the role and these things happen. I would have loved to be the one to receive that final call from the producers but maybe next time." 

It is said that the makers are willing to cast either Vicky Kaushal or Rajkummar Rao opposite Aishwarya in the film.

  Akshay will be soon seen in Akshat Verma's Kaalakaandi, where he plays the role of Saif Ali Khan's brother.
