Akshay Kumar's Housefull 3 is the second most watched film on TV this year

Akshay Kumar's comic caper Housefull 3 recently premiered worldwide on Star Gold and Star Gold HD.

The film, which raked in over Rs 100 crore at the Box Office, recorded 78,16,000 impressions to become the second-most watched film of the year on television.

The world television premiere of the Akshay Kumar-film scored better ratings than the likes of Dilwale, Fan, Baaghi, Neerja and Airlift to name a few. However, the comic caper failed to beat the BARC ratings of Salman Khan's Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. The family drama, which premiered on Star Gold and Star Gold HD in February 2016, which holds the top spot.

  7. Ghayal Once Again - 38,61,000
  8. Sanam Teri Kasam - 37,01,000
  9. Fan - 34,18,000
  10. Neerja - 19,73,000
  11. Airlift - 19,01,000

Salman Khan's Sultan is all set to premiere on Sony and Sony HD. It will be interesting to see if the wrestling drama manages to record total impressions of over 2 crore. Should it do so, Khan will occupy all three positions in the list of most-watched Hindi films on television of all time (as per the new rating system). Currently, Bajrangi Bhaijaan is ranked second on the list.
