Akshay Kumar's Rustom is on a phenomenal run at the Box Office as the film raked it around Rs 91 crore in its opening week.

After the very good opening over the extended weekend, the film continued to trend well in the metros, especially Mumbai and Delhi. Rustom's Thursday collections got a boost because of Raksha Bandhan celebrations across the country.

Day Wise Collections:

  • Opening Weekend (4 days): Rs 68.23 crore
  • Tuesday: Rs 7.67 crore
  • Wednesday: Rs 6.38 crore
  • Thursday: Rs 8.50 crore (Early Estimate)
  • Total: Rs 90.22 crore (Early Estimate)

The Akshay Kumar film has recorded the second biggest opening week collections of the year after Salman Khan's Sultan, which raked in Rs 208 crore.

With Rustom, Akshay Kumar will equal Shah Rukh Khan with six films in the coveted Rs 100 crore club and be second to Salman, who leads with 10 films.

Rustom now stands a very good chance to become Akshay Kumar's biggest hit till date by surpassing Rowdy Rathore (Rs 132 crore). However, the collections in the second weekend will make things clearer.

Rustom is already a hit and by the end of its lifetime run, it could well be another super hit for Bollywood's Khiladi.
