“Akshay Kumar is very similar to my father Gulshan Kumar.”
Just a few days back, Akshay Kumar revealed a poster of his film that is called, 'Mogul - The Gulshan Kumar Story', where the actor will be seen portraying the life of the late Gulshan Kumar.
Recently, at an event when Gulshan Kumar's son Bhushan was asked about the film he said, “It's an emotional film for us and for the whole (T-Series) company. Everybody is very much attached with this story as it represents the life of my father. I would not like to talk much about the film but, yes it is a reality based film on my father's life.
On asking if Akshay Kumar is apt for playing his father's role in the biopic, he replied, "Yes, I feel he is the apt one for this film. He is very similar to my father. Both are Punjabis; my father used to believe in Vaishno Devi and Akshay also keeps a faith in her. My father was from Daryaganj and Akshay is from Chandni Chowk. There are many similarities of past life in them and you will also see many things in the film which will connect you to my father through Akshay's portrayal on him.”
