Shivaay Box Office: Ajay Devgn's film lords it over the audience on Monday!

As per early estimates, Shivaay starring Ajay Devgn raked in around Rs 17 .35 crore on Monday, taking the four-day weekend total to Rs 45 crore.

Areas which were unresponsive due to the pre-Diwali lull turned out in full force on the fourth day and the film almost doubled in terms of collections at many centres. Rajasthan, CI, CP, Gujarat, UP, Bihar ran to almost 90 - 100% occupancy and the massive jump all across has given Shivaay a chance at the Box Office.

Rajasthan:

Friday: Rs 69 lakh

Monday: Rs 1.07 crore

CI:

Friday: Rs 40 lakh

Monday: Rs 83 lakh

Compared to Friday, the movie recorded a good jump in Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Lucknow, and Ludhiana, to name a few.

Day Wise Box Office Collection:

• Friday: Rs 10.24 crore
• Saturday: Rs 10.06 crore (5% drop)
• Sunday: Rs 8.26 crore (15% drop)
• Monday: Rs 17.35 crore (70% Growth)
• Total: Rs 45.91 crore

A steady trend from here on is essential for Shivaay to break even. A Rs 10 crore plus Tuesday will come as a breather for Ajay Devgn as that will indicate acceptance from the audience in the mass belt as against a complete rejection by the film critics.
