Ajay Devgn, who started shooting for his much anticipated film Shivaay in Mussoori today, had a pleasant surprise for all his fans - he broadcast the Mahurat shot of the film live using periscope.
This is a rather innovative way to start the shooting of the film which is said to be one of the most expensive films to be made in the history of Indian cinema. Devgn will not just be starring in Shivaay; the actor will also be directing the magnum opus which releases during Diwali next year.
In the video, Ajay Devgn and Sayesha Saigal gave a perfect shot which was okayed in just one take wherein the two come walking towards the garden area climbing the stairs.
The strategy makes Shivaay the first ever Bollywood film to broadcast and engage the fans on a social networking website for the opening shot.
After a short schedule at Mussoori followed by another in Hyderabad, Team Shivaay will fly to Bulgaria where they will shoot for three months in the snowy mountains. Around 70 per cent of the film will be shot in Bulgaria and the actor is expected to wrap up this schedule by February next year.
Shivaay has been slotted for a Diwali 2016 release and will clash with Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai.
