Baadshaho vs Raees clash is NOT averted. Milan Luthria clears the air

The release of Shah Rukh Khan's Raees may have been postponed to make way for Salman Khan's Sultan this Eid. But the move seems to have set off a chain of events.

It has been revealed that Raees has been postponed to 26 January, 2017 - a busy date at the Bollywood Box Office, as it will see the Shah Rukh film clash with Hrithik Roshan's Kaabil and Ajay Devgn's Baadshaho.

The news of the Raees-Baadshaho clash is bound to remind fans of the Box Office clash between SRK's Jab Tak Hai Jaan and Ajay Devgn's Son Of Sardaar in November 2012.

However, according to the latest buzz, this clash has also been averted. If reports are to be believed, the makers of Baadshaho are eyeing a March 2017 release date.

"Ajay will mostly shifting the release because Baadshaho won't be ready in January. The makers are now eyeing a 10 March release," a source close to the developments told a daily.

"Ajay is now shooting his directorial venture Shivaay which he will wrap by June. He begins shooting for Baadshaho in July end- early August. His film with Remo D'Souza co-starring Sooraj Pancholi too goes on floors this September. So he will be juggling between the two films and it is highly improbable that Ajay's Baadshaho will be ready in time for a January release. That's why they have taken a call to shift the release date," the source told dna.

However, Baadshaho director Milan Luthria told The Asian Age that the film would release on Republic Day 2017 as planned.

"We are on schedule and we were the first ones to announce the release date. We will not be shifting our release date," the daily quoted him as saying.

Game on!
