After Main Aur Charles, Richa Chadda and Randeep Hooda are set to share screen space once again in Omung Kumar's Sarabjit.
The biopic chronicles the life of Indian farmer Sarabjit, who was sentenced to death by Pakistan in 1991 on charges of terrorism. Many from India, including actor Salman Khan, had requested the Pakistan government to release Sarabjit. However, he died in prison in 2013 after being attacked by fellow inmates.
While Randeep Hooda will be seen playing the titular role, Richa Chadda will portray Sarabjit's wife. The powerful star cast also includes Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who will essay the role of Sarabjit's sister Dalbir Kaur.
In an official statement on Sarabjit, Richa Chadda said:
"Yes they have approached me for a role and I will be doing it. However, at this point of time legalities and paper work is being done and I can't comment anything more. But yes its true I have been offered the role to play Randeep's wife and I will sign on the dotted lines soon. It's an interesting role and can't wait to talk more on the same."
