Ranbir Kapoor turns down Kishore Kumar biopic; Aamir Khan wants to go ahead

According to a report in Bombay Times, Aamir Khan has expressed interest in making a biopic on Kishore Kumar. The film has been on director Anurag Kashap's wishlist for a while now.

Earlier, it was reported that actor Ranbir Kapoor was being considered to play the legendary actor-singer on screen.

However, according to the Bombay Times report, Ranbir has turned down the offer as he wants to focus on the Sanjay Dutt biopic - where he will essay the Munnabhai MBBS actor.

According to insider reports, when Aamir Khan found out, he had a conversation with Ranbir about the film. The Dangal actor also hinted at wanting to speak to the studio executives for the film.

Khan is currently working for Dangal, which is a biopic based on retired Haryanvi wrestler Mahavir Phogat. The first look of the film has already been released and the film is set to release on Christmas 2016.
