Aamir Khan to release Secret Superstar on Thursday

Aamir will release his film one day prior to cash in holiday weekend

Aamir Khan’s Secret Superstar was supposed to release on August 4 initially. Later the actor chose to shift the release to October and announced that it will release on Diwali. The film is going to have a box office clash with Rohit Shetty’s Golmaal Again. Now during the trailer launch the actor has announced that his film will release on October 19 which is a Thursday and first day of Diwali.

Now Rohit too moves his release date and try to cash in the long holiday weekend or will he stick to the norm of Friday release that is yet to get clear.

Earlier this year Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees and Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil was to release on Republic Day (January 26). Both the makers tried to avoid the clash but when finally no one agreed to move, Shah Rukh chose to release it a day prior to cash in the holiday weekend. Hrithik and Rakesh Roshan were upset with this as they too were thinking of releasing it on January 25. Finally both the films released on the same day and had to suffer at box office as they had to share screens.
