Aamir Khan is upset with rumours linking him to Fatima Shaikh

The actor is apparently hopping mad at the rumours that suggest that his romantic interest in Fatima led to her being cast in Thugs Of Hindostan.

There were many speculations about who will be the lucky girl to play the lead in Thugs of Hindostan, a prestigious project with Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan in the cast. Finally, Fatima Shaikh of Dangal fame was zeroed in on for the role. Soon after the rumour mills went on an overdrive suggesting that Aamir is the one who pushed for her name, as he seems to share close friendship with Fatima.

Aamir is said to be really upset when he heard the rumours. He apparently even visited the producers of the film, Yashraj Films to make sure that these rumours are denied. The production company claims that Fatima was finally chosen because she was not as expensive as the other actresses considered for the role. They apparently insist that Aamir had nothing to do with the choice.

Thugs of Hindostan is expected to go on floor in the first week of June.
