Definitely the year 2018 was actually for Ranveer Singh who came out with two blockbuster films at the box office. He started the year with Padmaavat starring alongside Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor, while he ended the year with Simmba directed by Rohit Shetty. Both the film collected around 550 crores totally. Now the actor is all set to look forward towards the year 2019, and his first film Gully Boy to release on 14th February 2019.
However, just after that, the actor will start the shooting for his next film 83, film based on the true incident of Cricket World Cup 1983 win led by captain Kapil Dev. The film will be directed by Kabir Khan who made films like Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Ek Tha Tiger and others. Director will show the glorious story of Indian cricket with the film.

1. No Dancing - No Lip-sync
According to director Kabir Khan, the audience will not connect with Kapil Dev dancing on the streets and singing songs. So they have decided to not add any dance number or romantic numbers in the film.
Pritam who counted as the hit music composer of the industry has composed several songs for the film and those songs will be mainly motivation or patriotic.
3. Kapil Dev became a trainer for Ranveer Singh
According to the director, the team members of the 83 world cup will themselves come to train the actors. Reports are also that Kapil Dev himself will come to give bowling lessons to Ranveer Singh.
4. Jiva as Krish Srikkanth
Reports are also that Tamil actor Jiva who is quite popular in regional films is going to be seen playing the role of opener Krishnamachari Srikkanth. He told that the film is being made on the budget of 100 crores.

5. 83 release date
According to the schedule the shooting of the film 83 will get completed till August 2019, and after that Kabir Khan will take around 8 months in the post-production. The film is slated to release on 10th April 2020.
