In this film of Imtiaz Ali, Ranbir Kapoor played the role of Ved, a man who is struggling with his Borderline personality disorder and is not happy with what he is doing. While Deepika Padukone played the role of Tara a successful businesswoman and deeply in love with Ved.

There are many scenes in the film, where Ved shows his frustration towards Tara for rejecting his love. But there was one special scene in the movie that was loved the most by the audience. After some frustration scenes, Tara calls Ved in a bar where they meet and don't talk much to each other but their expressions are so much expressive that it became the iconic scene of Tamasha.
