Miriam Lancewood, a former teacher-turned-wilderness explorer washes her hair with urine and fortunately, her remedy worked well.

As per the reports, the sports teacher had left her home and city in 2010 and started living the wilderness of New Zealand along with her husband Peter.

While speaking to Mamamia's No Filter podcast, Miriam revealed that after leaving her comfortable life 9 years ago with her husband and started living in the wild, the most important thing she missed was her shampoos.

Miriam revealed that she had faced dandruff problem while spending her first winter away from home.

She told that her husband has had a trick up his sleeve. ‘Peter said he'd heard something about the Eskimos up north who treat their dandruff with morning urine. I thought I'd give it a go. What does it matter?'

The 34-year-old, hailing from Wehl in Holland, recalled peeing in a little tin and wetting her hair to allow it to become more absorbent.
