'Syringe psycho' dodges cops in Andhra Pradesh

Andhra Pradesh has been rocked by a man, named 'syringe psycho', who has been piercing women and girls with a veterinary needle over the last few days in the West Godavari region.

The police, however, is still clueless about his identity, though he is believed to be a local.

On 22, 25, and 26 August, the 'syringe psycho' attacked at least 11 women, as per the police.

His modus operandi

• His mode of attack is to drive up to the victim on a bike, pierce her with a needle and take off. He has kept himself confined to the local rural area in West Godavari.
• Some of his victims have described him as being wheatish complexioned, with a stout body. Reportedly, he speaks a local dialect of Telugu.
