Horrifying! Escalator swallowing a man will give you nightmares; watch video
People become so excited when they travel for the first time on an escalator while many feel scared to step on it. But have you ever seen the mechanism of an escalator that how it look internally or have you ever thought that escalator could take someone’s life? However, many accidents have occurred due to it.
A shocking incident has come to light from Turkey where a man swallowed by an escalator. Yes, you read right! On 27th February, a jaw-dropping CCTV video has been viral on social media in which dozens of people can be seen walking down the escalator and all of sudden the rush broke out to cry as there was some technical failure happened in the escalator.
This terrifying incident had occurred at Ayazaga Metro station in Istanbul, Turkey. In the CCTV footage, a man named Mehmet Ali Erik stepping onto the escalator and he couldn’t prevent himself from getting swallowed by the escalator.
You will definitely get goosebumps after watching the video as the man all of sudden disappeared. However, he tried hard to save himself by handling the moving railing. Alas! He could not hold the grip and vanish into the gaping holes and the metal stairs close over the top of him.

However, Erik was rescued by the firefighters and he was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Reportedly, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality had put up the warning sign near the broken escalator but it failed to stop a passenger from using the deadly escalator.
