Maintaining a cleanliness house is the moral duty of everyone but imagine if you throw your valuable thing in dustbin then definitely you will freak you out of your mind for sure.

One such bizarre case has come to light from Burnham-on-Sea, Somerset, England where the couple unknowingly threw away £15,000 (Rs 14 lakh) cash in the trash.

As per media reports, the unnamed couple was clearing out the home of a deceased relative and took the bunch of boxes (thinking it waste products) to the recycling centre.

A worker at the centre was checking the boxes with the help of an electric cable, but what he found inside the box left him flabbergasted.

The true-blue employee of the recycling centre didn’t take a penny for himself and alerted the Avon and Somerset Police about it.

Police arrived at the spot and checked the CCTV footage and identified the car that dropped the box containing the whopping amount. With the help of the car registration plate, police were able to find out the family’s address.

The whole incident information was shared on the official Facebook account of the Avon and Somerset Police and also thanked the honest staff at the recycling centre in the post.

“We would like to say a big thank you to the staff at the recycling centre. Without their diligent attitude, integrity, and assistance, the family would never have known about the money found, and we would not have been able to return it to them, especially in time for Christmas,” FB post read.

The couple also informed the police that their late relatives had the habit of hiding money in the different parts of the house. However, they didn’t expect that she would hide the huge amount in a junk box.
