For decades now, both SpaceX and NASA, competing to colonise Mars, have created brilliant artwork for what living on the planet will look like. Mars, the red planet, is the next target for humans after the moon. Mars, have been subject to countless science-fiction films, alien life theories and various out-of-the-box scientific theories.

Many have vowed to conquer Mars, like Richard Branson, but only SpaceX, with Elon Musk at the helm and NASA seem to be close.
