The Bharatiya Janata Party on Wednesday criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi after a song was wrongly played in place of the national anthem during a Bharat Jodo Yatra event in Washim Maharashtra.

The video of a song being played instead of the Indian national anthem for a few minutes went viral as BJP leaders hit out at Rahul Gandhi and the Congress for the error.

Here's the video:

Tamil Nadu BJP leader Amar Prasad Reddy shared the video and wrote, "Rahul Gandhi, what is this?"

Following his speech, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi announced the conclusion of the event and asked for the national anthem to be played. A music was played while Congress leaders stood on the stage. Rahul Gandhi then gestured to the leaders and the music was stopped and Jana Gana Mana was played soon after.

The Bharat Jodo Yatra, which began from Tamil Nadu’s Kanyakumari on September 7, has so far covered 28 districts in six states and is currently in Maharashtra's Akola district. It will enter Madhya Pradesh on November 20.
