Delhi Assembly Election: AAP vows free travel for students, 24-hour drinking water in Kejriwal's 'guarantee card'

Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Admi Party leader (AAP) Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday released its guarantee card with the promises of free public travel for students, 24-hour pure drinking water and basic facilities for unauthorized colonies in the Delhi.

"I am giving 10 guarantees to Delhi. This is superior to the manifesto. These 10 things are the issues that affect all the people in Delhi. The manifesto will have more things," said Kejriwal during the release of the guarantee card.


The AAP has also promised of continuing the ongoing free subsidies on water and electricity in its 'guarantee card' ahead of the Assembly election.

"I am giving 10 guarantees to Delhi. This is superior to the manifesto. These 10 things are the issues that affect all the people in Delhi. The manifesto will have more things," said Kejriwal during the release of the guarantee card.

"We will plant more than two crore trees to make Delhi green," Kejriwal's guarantee card says.

As per the card, the first guarantee is about electricity, promising continuation of 24 hours uninterrupted power supply and 200 units of free electricity for all in Delhi. The AAP in his guarantee card also promised that the national capital will be freed from web wires and the electricity will be provided to consumers through underground cables.

This Apart, Kejriwal's guarantee card promises to give a world-class education facility for each child and better health care facilities for all.

The fifth guarantee is to have the biggest and cheapest' transport facility for the city, with More than 11,000 buses and 500-kilometer Metro stretch in the city. Free bus travel for women, students' are also mentioned in the guarantee card.

The AAP has also vowed to control Delhi air pollution and clean the Yamuna.

Moreover, the AAP has promised to make the city safer for women and said to deploy Mohalla Marshals in voted to power. Road, water supply, sewer, CCTV and mohalla clinics for the unauthorized colonies are also included in the guarantee card.

CM Kejriwal also promised of pucca house to people in Delhi slums under the 'Jahan Jhuggi Wahin Makan' scheme.
