Keeping the National Weather Service (NWS) prediction in mind, Annapolis officials have asked the residents to park their vehicles in city garages as the snow crew face a major challenge due to these parked vehicles.

NWS has given the warning for Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Prince George's, Montgomery and Howard counties. In a statement, it was confirmed that the state can receive nearly eight inches of snowfall by Wednesday night.

The official statement states that city parking garages will open for free at 6 pm on March 20, for Annapolis City residents. "Please park your vehicles in driveways so ploughs can clear as much snow as possible."

Besides, swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding and other activities in Carr Creek Lake in Annapolis has been banned.

This advisory by the health department came after 6,250 gallons of wastewater was spilt into the lake from wastewater treatment plant nearby.
