Picture of funeral procession through sewerage water calls for an investigation
Recently a picture of a funeral procession in Pakistan went viral on social media. This has called for an investigation.
In the picture, men are seen carrying a corpse over their shoulders, stepping in fifty sewage water.
The Chief Justice of Pakistan, Mian Saqib Nisar has taken up this viral picture and directed the Attorney General to investigate the matter.
On Tuesday during the court proceeding, the CJP directed an inquiry into the matter as to where this picture was clicked and who was the clicked this picture. He even said, " This filthiness affects human health and is life-threatening.”
On Saturday, The Supreme Court (SC) issued notices to the private companies who have taken payment from the provincial government for the sewerage-related projects.
