One dead, six injured as vehicle crash on Hood Canal Bridge

One person died and six others seriously injured after a head-on collision at a floating bridge called Hood Canal in western Washington. Approximately 15,000 vehicles travel through this area every day and due to this collision the bridge was closed.

It isn't clear how the accident happened but now bridge will remain closed. In this tragic incident, two people had to be airlifted to Seattle.
The state's Department of Transportation reported that the crash caused no structural damage to the bridge.

Fire-Rescue Public Information Officer Bill Beezley said, "Six vehicles reportedly were involved in the wreck that began with a head-on collision."
