Man kills his grandfather, 4-year-old cousin over a dispute

A double murder case has been reported in Pakistan where a man allegedly killed his grandfather and 4-year-old cousin. Reportedly, he also injured his grandmother, aunt, and a 2-year-old cousin.

According to reports, the man in Khushab committed the horrifying crime over a property dispute. The shocking incident took place in Sarki village on Monday.


The accused was identified as Muhammad Adnan, who killed his 70-year-old grandfather and cousin, Nawazul Haq. He took the extreme step over a property dispute in the family.

On Monday, Adnan went to his cousin Hafeezur Rehman’s house at around 8 pm. Adnan told Rehman that he had returned from Rawalpindi and wanted to do some rest. However, Adnan started stabbing Haq as soon as he entered the house.

After seeing Adnan’s act, Rehman’s mother Malikani Bibi and wife Ghulam Raqiyah rushed to save Haq from him, the accused also attacked them, The Express Tribune reported.

Reportedly, Adnan also stabbed Rehman’s daughters, Maryam Alvi and Shifa Alvi.

During the assault, both Haq and four-year-old Maryam were killed. After the incident, the injured family rushed to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital in Nowshera. While the last rites of the deceased were performed after the postmortem was conducted.

Meanwhile, Nowshera police arrested the accused and booked him under section 109 (punishment of abetment if the act abetted committed in consequence and where no express provision is made for its punishment), 302 (punishment of Qatl-i-amd), and 324 (attempt to commit qatl-i-amd).
