Couple who charged €200 an hour for sex at their home escape prison
A Spanish national couple who offered their home for sex and charged €200 from clients for an hour escaped jail on Thursday.
A 50-year-old Spanish national, David Navaro and 41-year-old Brazilian wife Celia Galan shifted to Ireland from Barcelona in the year 2015. In July 2016 a suspicion was created that they ran a brothel. A surveillance operation mounted near the duo's home and later discovered a Laptop, phone, notebook and clients’ names confirming of the illegal activity.
The couple were advertising themselves as ‘Anne & Peter’ on some Escort Ireland website. The advert continued ‘We receive men, women and couples… You will enjoy the best experience of your life and and sure you will come back.” The inspector looking after the matter shared that the duo charged €200 an hour for sex; €170 for 45 minutes and €130 for 30 minutes.
The couple were proved guilty under Section 10 of the Criminal Law Sex Offences Act. They were given prison term of six months and fine.
