Former US President Barack Obama has become a topic of discussion on social media after he celebrated his extravagant birthday celebration. Obama celebrated his 60th birthday on August 4, 2021. However, the former POTUS got slammed after his maskless visuals surfaced on the Internet.
Some of his pictures and videos from the birthday bash have been leaked on social media which showed Barack Obama was dancing on the floor. Neither he nor his friends were wearing the mask. Due to this, #ObamaVariant, #MasklessObama, Obamas, and Michelle were trending on the micro-blogging site.

Well, if you are thinking that Obama was not wearing a mask then sorry, one should cross-check the facts before jumping to the conclusion. Obama didn’t break any COVID rule as some online users corrected others by giving the proof.
According to the CDC guidelines and the regulations of Martha’s Vineyard, fully vaccinated individuals are required to wear masks in indoor locations, on private and public transportation.
Even the Massachusetts government website said that “Masks are still mandatory for all individuals on public and private transportation systems (including rideshares, livery, taxi, ferries, MBTA, Commuter Rail and transportation stations), in healthcare facilities and in other settings hosting vulnerable populations, such as congregate care settings."
Since Obama’s birthday party was outdoors, therefore guests are not required to wear masks.
Last week, a spokesperson announced that the “outdoor event was planned months ago in accordance with all public health guidelines and with COVID safeguards in place.” Guests had to submit negative COVID-19 test results to a specific “coronavirus coordinator” to gain entry, essence.com report said.
Obama’s birthday party that took place on Martha’s Vineyard boasted a playful Hawaii theme.
