Youth bleeds to death after three men slit his throat, accused arrested

In a gruesome incident brought to light from Rajasthan, the Jaipur Police claimed to have solved the murder of 27-year-old youth who was found dead with his throat slit on Friday. As maintained by the police, a fight over cooking culminated to the gruesome killing. The cops have taken three men into their custody in connection to the crime.

Those apprehended by the cops have been identified as Santosh Meena, aged 45, Leela Ram Meena, aged 36, and Ganga Laheri, aged 35, all three are residents of Alwar who worked at a steel factory near Vishwakarma Industrial Area. Victim Jai Narayan Meena, also a factory labourer, used to live with the trio in a rented room near an ice factory.


According to a report by The Times of India, on Friday, a fight broke out between the four factory workers over making chapattis. Jai Narayan conveyed that he would not prepare the meal for others. He even hurled abuses at the three men. Following this, the trio decided to teach a lesson to Jai Narayan.

The victim was going to the washroom when the three men intercepted him. Two of them held him while the third started thrashing him. Jai Narayan unsuccessfully made an attempt to escape. Later, the accused held him in a chokehold and slit his throat using a knife. They left Jai Narayan to bleed to death and ran away from the spot.

After the recovery of the victim’s dead body with wounds, the police set up a special team to arrest the suspects. All those involved in the murder were taken into custody by the team on Sunday.

In another incident, a 31-year-old man allegedly raped an eight-year-old girl in Rajasthan’s Ajmer. The accused even recorded a video of the act on his mobile phone and uploaded it on the internet.

The victim, who is a Class 8 student, and the accused, driver by profession, are residents of the same area. Her parents approached to the police that they came across the video showing their neighbour sexually assaulting their daughter.

Subsequently, the accused was taken into police custody under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
