In a horrific incident brought to light from Uttar Pradesh’s Hapur district, a woman was allegedly gang-raped by two men at a hotel. The victim has registered a police complaint against the accused at Garh Kotwali.

The victim, a widow and a native of Garh Mukteshwar area, alleged that two men who were known to the victim took her to Hapur on the pretext of filling the form of widow pension.

On their way back, the accused stopped at a hotel in order to drink water. At the hotel, the woman was held hostage in one of the rooms and gang-raped by the two accused, the victim stated in her police complaint.

The woman managed to run away from the room she was held in and reached home. The next day the victim registered a complaint telling her ordeal. The woman has named two people in the complaint. However, cops have shown ignorance about any such incident.

In the meantime, in yet another incident, a 15-year-old girl was raped by her neighbour in Hapur’s Simbhaoli area. The victim lost her life on Wednesday after the accused poisoned her to destroy evidence of the crime.

As the matter became known to people, the accused tried to murder the victim by giving her a cold beverage spiked with poison.

As the victim's condition worsened, she was shifted to a hospital in Hapur and later referred to Meerut hospital where she passed away after 7 days.
