Uttarakhand: IPS officer’s wife thrashed BJP worker with slippers after he sent her obscene messages; video gone viral

The wife of an IPS officer, who is posted in Uttar Pradesh, thrashed a Bharatiya Janata Party worker in Rudrapur on Saturday after he sent her obscene messages. A video of the incident went viral on social media.

Informing about the incident, Devendra Shahi, president of Metropolise resident welfare society, said “A BJP worker of Sitarganj lives with his family in our society. He was sending obscene messages on her mobile. She rang us and told about her plight on Saturday. On learning this, we went to the BJP worker’s flat, but instead of realizing his fault, he started misbehaving with us”.
His misbehavior made her furious and started to thrash him with her slippers. After police reached the spot, the issue has been sorted out and the women forgave him when he apologized. Therefore, no case was lodged in the incident. The woman did not talk to the media about the incident.
Local MLA Raj Kumar urged to the party to take action on the incident as it maligned the party image.

He was quoted by the Hindustan Times as saying “The incident has maligned the image of the party. The party must see into the incident and take proper action”.

“The incident has come into our notice. Party will take proper action against him,” said Shiv Arora, BJP US Nagar district unit president.
