UP man thrashes, electrocutes five kids for hours over suspicion of mobile theft

In an appalling incident reported from Uttar Pradesh’s Bareilly, the state police on Wednesday came to the aid of five children who were allegedly tied up for many hours and given electric shock by a man, a dairy owner, who accused them of stealing his mobile phone.

The ghastly incident transpired in UP’s Bareilly where the accused, identified as Avnesh Kumar Yadav runs a dairy farm in Gangapur area which falls under the jurisdiction of Baradari police station. Earlier, the accused, lost his mobile phone, which cost him Rs 30,000. The accused was of the opinion that kids living in the neighbourhood had stolen it, police said.


On Wednesday, the accused picked up the five kids from their residence and tormented them. He tied up the five kids, thrashed them and gave them electric shocks using a live wire with the aassistance of few others.

Meanwhile, the families of the five victims stamped the dairy farm along with few others and approached the cops. The police team arrived at the location and found the kids in a grave condition. All five victims were rushed to the district hospital for medical attention.

One of the victims, who was a minor told police that the accused took them to his dairy farm where he tortured them. The kid stated that the accused even refused water to them.

In line with a complaint, the cops have pressed charges against the dairy owner and many other for torturing the kids. SP Ravinder Kumar said police teams have been sent in order to arrest the accused.
