UP Horror: Policeman's wife raped and threatened by accused for years

In a shocking incident of crime against women reported from Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut, a woman, the wife of a deceased cop, was raped for years on the pretext of marrage. The incident happened in city’s Pallavpuram locality.

The woman earns her living as a teacher. When the woman asked the accused to marry her, he began threatening her. The woman has now approached the police and told about her experience to the cops.

The city police have registered a complaint against the accused under SC/ST Act and other relevant sections of Indian Penal Code.


According to the police, the accused is still at large and they have launched a manhunt for the accused, according to a report in Dainik Jagran.

In particular, a lawyer, a native of Jagrati Vihar which falls under the jurisdiction of the Medical police station area, got his daughter marrried to a UP policeman. However, the policeman died in a road accident when he went to give B.ed entrance examination in 2013.

At the same time, the policeman’s wife also went to appear for the B.ed entrance exam in Bareilly. On the way back, the woman met a youth, identified as Gaurav Chaudhary, a native of Rajakpur village in Amroha district.

Following her husband’s passing away, the woman began seeing Gaurav. Meanwhile, the woman got a government job as teacher. The woman now lives with her son from the deceased husband and is presently posted in Muzaffarnagar.
