A case has come to light from Agra where a grandmother of 6 children has fallen in love with 22-year-old. The couple has threatened their family to commit suicide if not allowed to tie the knot. As per police, her husband along with 7 seven children and 6 grandchildren approached a local police station on Tuesday alleging the same.

Even the youth’s family who stays in their neighbourhood reached the same Itmad-ud-daula police station with a similar complaint.

As per TOI report, the woman and youth are said to be in a relationship for nearly one and a half years. However only after her husband reached the police station and demanded action against the boy this matter came to light.

When asked on her decision to marry a 22-year-old boy she said that age is just a number. “I have the right to live with whom I want and nobody can stop us.”

Youth who works at the stationery store was asked the same question and he said that she is his true love.

As per the sources, the two families have decided to disown the woman and the youth. On of the sons of the woman said, “We often spot them together, in Itmad-ud-daula garden, or local market. We just can’t tolerate it, as we have to live in society and their relationship is against social norms. How can our children watch their grandmother having an affair with a man who is nearly 30-year younger to her? She has lost her senses. Her husband is still alive,”

The police have booked the youth under Section 151 of CrPc (prevention detention anticipating breach of peace).

Udayveer Singh Malik, SHO of Itmad-ud-daula police station, said: “Both families visited us as the woman and youth’s relationship was unacceptable to them. The woman’s family had reprimanded the youth, but still, he was bothering them, therefore he was booked under IPC section 504 (Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace).”
