Telangana shocker: Unidentified man injects poison to person who gives him lift

In a shocking incident reported from Telangana’s Khammam district, a 46-year-old man died after he was jabbed with a poisonous injection by an unidentified man who took lift from the victim. The incident occurred on Monday in Banapuram area of Mudigonda mandal.

According to police, the accused ran away from the crime spot after killing the man through the injection. After being administered the injection, the victim solicited help from the passersbys.


The 46-year-old victim lost consciousness following the jab and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead on arrival, according to a report in Times of India.

Police said the exact cause of death would be established only after the post-mortem report is out. Mudigonda police said they are making every effort to identify and arrest the accused.

The accused administered the poisonous injection to the bike rider after travelling some distance. Later, the man got unconscious and succumbed. The incident has triggered a panic-stricken situation in the area.

The victim has been identified as Sheikh Jamal Saheb from Boppara in Chintakani mandal. He was travelling to Jaggayapet in NTR district of Andhra Pradesh on Monday morning, as maintained by a report in Hindustan Times.

"The victim was going to his daughter’s residence on his motorbike at Gandrai village of Andhra Pradesh’s Jaggayyapet block that lie on the borders of Khammam. Once he reached Vallabhi village of Mudigonda block, a stranger wearing a monkey cap requested the victim for a lift on his bike. Few minutes later, the accused administered an injection on the thigh of the victim. The accused jumped off the bike before Saheb realised what had happened," the HT quoted Mudigonda police station sub-inspector Thota Nagaraju as saying.
