Teen plans father’s murder to protest sexual harassment

In an appalling incident of crime reported from Bengaluru, a teenager and her three minor friends have been arrested by the city police after her father was found hacked to death on Monday. As maintained by the Yelahanka New Town Police, the teen alleged that her father, identified as Deepak, used to sexually harass her.

It is alleged that the 45-year-old man was killed before the very eyes of his two daughters.


The deceased man, a native of Bihar was working as a security guard at GKVK Campus in the city. He lived with his wife and two daughters.

One of the daughters of the deceased studies in a private college and the other one studies in fourth standard.

According to the police, he actually had two wives and the first wife lives in Bihar, while the second one hails from Karnataka with whom he had two daughters.

It is alleged that the man sexually harassed the first daughter and the couple had fought over the same.

Earlier on Monday, the man was in an intoxicated state and attempted to do the same, however this time, the daughter called her friends who knew about this. The friends came along with a few others and murdered him.

The police are now investigating this matter to know if any other issue could have culminated to this murder.
