Tamil Nadu: Father kills 13-year-old daughter on tantric advice for a bizarre reason
A weird crime case came to light in Tamil Nadu where a father killed his 13-year-old daughter on the advice of a woman tantric.
He killed his minor girl on May 19. The incident took place in Tamil Nadu’s Pudukottai district.
The new update in the case is that the Tamil Nadu police claimed to have solved the mysterious death case of the girl.
Police claimed that the minor girl was murdered by her own father named Paneerselvam on the advice of a woman occult who promised him to change his bad luck into good fortune.
According to the reports in Times of India, the accused had six children- four from his first wife Indira while two from second wife Mookayi.
Paneerselvam and his second wife Mookayi were fighting frequently over their financial condition. It was Mookayi who introduced her husband to a woman tantric Vasanthi, who allegedly advised him to kill one of his daughters to bring ‘good fortune’.
The accused followed the instruction of the tantric and strangulated his daughter with the help of his second wife. However, the accused and his wife removed the girl’s clothes to pass it off as a case of sexual assault.
The victim has been identified as Vidya who was rushed to Thanjavur Medical College where she succumbed to her injuries the next day, TOI reported.
According to Pudukottai Superintendent of Police (SP) Arun Sakthi Kumar, there was no sign of sexual assault in the deceased’s autopsy report.
Police found Paneerselvam suspicious over his statements. However, he confessed to the killing of the girl and revealed that he did it in the direction of the tantric woman.
Meanwhile, the accused has been arrested along with his accomplice. Also, lookout notice released for the tantric and two other persons involved in the case.
