Solar Eclipse 2019: Twitter triggers meme fest after PM Modi tweets picture of himself

This morning several parts of the country observed the last solar eclipse of the decade. As the nation became a part of the natural phenomenon, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also joined in along with many Indians to witness the occurrence.

However, the prime minister could not see the solar eclipse because of the cloudy weather, but caught glimpses of it on live stream. He even went on to share a picture of him enthusiastically trying to watch the solar eclipse with protective gears on.

"Like many Indians, I was enthusiastic about #solareclipse2019. Unfortunately, I could not see the Sun due to cloud cover but I did catch glimpses of the eclipse in Kozhikode and other parts on live stream,” PM Modi tweeted.

After the prime minister shared a picture, one of the image within no time became the perfect fodder for funny memes. The image being used for memes had PM Modi looking at the sky with glasses on and a protective glasses in his hands.

The highlight was when one of the Twitter user informed PM Modi that his image is becoming a meme, he had the best response, "Most welcome....enjoy," he wrote.

PM Modi’s assent left the internet astound and soon Twitter was flooded with some extraordinary memes.
