The Border Security Force (BSF) personnel gunned down a Pakistani civilian who was allegedly trying to enter Indian territory in Anupgarh sector of Sriganganagar district in Jaipur.

The Pak national tried to enter the Indian side on the night of October 28. The BSF personnel, who were patrolling the area, saw the man and told him to stop, but when he did not stop despite being alerted by the jawans, they shot at him, said Sriganganagar Superintendent of Police Anand Sharma.

The Jawans then informed the police and a case was registered at Anupgarh police station. The body of the Pak national has been kept in the mortuary.

The deceased's name could not be determined, the police said, adding that nothing connected to him had been discovered.
