Ever since Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced his demonitisation on 8 November, there has been a cash crunch in the country. With the old Rs 500 and Rs 1000 currency notes becoming illegal tender, the rush to get the brand new Rs 2000 currency notes are high. When one finally gets the new currency note, they tend to get overexcited.
Going through Facebook and Twitter and Instagram feeds, one can see a plethora of Rs 2000 currency note selfies pop up. The excitement has reached its peak. On 11 November, Rahul Gandhi added to the mayhem when he visited the State Bank of India branch in Parliament Speech. Mr. Gandhi didn't do the neta/VIP thing and stood in line along with common citizens. Luckily for him, he got the coveted Rs 2000 rupee note!
