Miss World 2019: India’s Suman Rao crowned as Miss World Asia 2019; here’s all you need to know

2019 Miss World beauty pageant took place in London on 14th December. Out of top 10 models, Jamaica’s Tony-Ann Singh won the title while Ophely Mezino of France and Suman Rao of India were the first and the second runners up of the beauty pageant respectively.

The 21-year-old model Suman Rao was announced Miss World Asia 2019. Born in Aaidana Village near Udaipur is settled in Mumbai with her family since she turned a year older. Before participating for Miss World 2019 she was crowned as Femina Miss India in 2019 itself.


 

After completing her schooling from Mahatma School of Academics and Sports in Navi Mumbai, Suman began pursuing her career in Chartered Accountancy (CA) from the University of Mumbai. Apart from modelling, she is also a trained Kathak dancer.

In 2018, she participated in the Miss Navi Mumbai and was crowned as 1st runner-up. She went on to participate for Femina Miss Rajasthan 2019 where she represented Rajasthan and won the beauty pageant.

 

In an interview, Suman said that she plans to begin a discussion on gender equality among her community and in the global circuit as well. Also, she aspires to be an actor after winning the Miss World Asia title.
