Minor boy rapes 16-year-old girl after giving her spiked drink during marriage function

A 16-year-old girl was allegedly drugged and raped by a minor boy in Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh. The shocking incident took place last year in December, however, it came to light after the survivor developed stomachache and her medical examination revealed that she is pregnant, a timesnownews.com report said.

During the investigation, it was found that the 16-year-old girl had gone to the house of her grandmother to attend a wedding function in Bhopal in December last year. The accused boy was also present at the function. He allegedly gave her sedative-laced tea. After drinking the spiked drink, the girl lost consciousness, and following which the boy took her to a farming field and raped her.


The incident took place within the limits of Nazirabad police station in Bhopal.

After the incident, the victim didn’t inform anyone about the incident. After she complained of pain in the abdomen then she was taken to a hospital. The medical report revealed that the minor girl was pregnant. After this, the hospital alerted the Piplani police about the incident.

As per a report published by The Times of India, police registered a Zero FIR and forwarded the case to Berasia police station from where it was further sent to the Nazirabad police station as the crime scene took place under its limit.

On Friday, police have registered a case and detained the minor accused.

In yet another similar incident, a 16-year-old girl in Chhattisgarh’s Raipur city was allegedly kidnapped and raped by two minor boys and a 19-year-old youth.

After returning home, the survivor narrated her ordeal before her mother. Subsequently, a police complaint was registered against the three accused.

The survivor told police that on June 10, the three accused, including one of her friends, took her to an unknown place and raped her.

Police registered a case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Further investigation is underway.
