Married woman killed by jilted lover at work site

In a horrifying development coming in from the state of Rajasthan’s Jalore district, a 32-year-old woman was allegedy murdered by her jilted lover at a work site, police said on Monday.

The unfortunate incident happened at MGNREGA site in the Thanwala area that falls under the jurisdiction of Ahore police station when Shanti Devi was at work. The accused, identified as Ganesharam, aged 22 came to the work site and attacked her with a sharp-edged weapon, leaving her dead on the spot, they said, adding that he then clung to her body after that.


Police arrived at the crime spot, pull the accused apart from the dead body and took him into their custody.

Following the postmortem, the body has been handed over to the victim’s family members.

A case under Section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been lodged against the accused.

The deceased woman, whose husband works in Maharashtra, was the mother of two kids, both sons.

As maintained by the primary investigation, The accused, Ganesharam wanted to have a relationship with her but she turned down his proposal, police said.
