Korean YouTuber harassed on Mumbai street during live stream; video goes viral

Korean YouTuber harassed on Mumbai street.

A woman YouTuber from South Korea, was reportedly harassed by a man on the streets of Mumbai during her live stream. The video of the incident which took place on Tuesday is going viral on the internet.

The video of the incident shared on Twitter, displays how the accused man harassed the YouTuber by grabbing her hand, also trying to kiss her while she was streaming.

The victim, identified as Mhyochi has also shared the video from her Twitter handle and wrote, "Last night on stream, there was a guy who harassed me. I tried my best not to escalate the situation and leave because he was with his friend. And some people said that it was initiated by me being too friendly and engaging the conversation. Makes me think again about streaming."

In the video, the accused can be seen offering a lift to the woman by grabbing her hand while she uncomfortably opposes. When the woman refuses to sit, the accused puts a hand around her neck and tries to kiss her.

Resisting the advances, the You Tuber starts to walk away, saying "Time to go home" on the live stream. However, the accused, along with another person on a scooty, follows her and offers the lift again. "Come, this seat," he can be heard saying later in the video.

The You Tuber then avoids the man saying that her house is nearby and she'll go on her own.

As soon as the video was shared by netizens, the Mumbai Police responded to the video of the woman asking her to share her contact details in DM.

"We have followed you. Please share your contact details in DM", Mumbai Police wrote on Twitter.

The accused, identified as Mobeen Chand Mohammad Shaikh, aged 19 and Mohammad Naqeeb Sadrealam Ansari, aged 20 have been taken into custody by Khar Police.
