If given chance, Kharge will breathe new life into Congress: CM Gehlot
Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on October 17 extended his support to Mallikarjun Kharge, a candidate for the Congress presidential election, saying he will breathe new life into the grand old party.
He stated that Kharge's vast experience will assist Congress in regaining its former glory.
“Kharge sahib is a very experienced person, if a person of such a personality gets a chance, then I understand that he will breathe new life into the Congress party, his experience will come in handy and work is done only by experience, there is no substitute for experience. On the basis of that, we will all benefit from his experience,” he said.

The voting for the Congress party’s presidential post took place today at the All India Congress Committee (AICC) headquarters and over 60 polling places across the nation. The grand old party’s members have voted to choose the All India Congress Committee (AICC) president who will replace the interim president, Sonia Gandhi.
Mallikarjun Kharge and Shashi Tharoor are the contenders for the grand old party’s top post.
The result will be declared on October 19.
