In a shocking incident coming in from Gurugram, a 27-year-old woman techie was allegedly drugged and raped by a man in his car parked in the basement of a mall, police said.
As maintained by the police, the accused had called the woman, an engineering graduate, on the pretext of a job interview and raped her after giving her some sedative mixed in water.
In a complaint registered at Women police station in Sector 51, the victim said she was seeking a job online and got in touch with a man, identified as Tushar Sharma, who promised to give her a job.
Last Saturday, he called her on the pretext of an interview in Sahara mall. She reached the mall at around 1 pm with her documents and met Tushar Sharma, who then drove them to the basement of the mall.
The accused then offered her water, after drinking which she lost consciousness, the survivor said. Narrating her ordeal, she said Sharma pushed her inside his car and raped her. He threatened to kill her if she told anyone about the incident, before leaving her in the mall parking lot and fleeing.
